Title: Matchmaker, Matchmaker (11/11)

Author: archea2

Pairing: Sherlock/Lestrade

Characters: Lestrade, Sherlock, Molly, John and Mary, Sebastian Moran, Mrs Hudson, Sherlock’s parents, plus one surprise character and cameos of Gregson, Dimmock and Donovan.

Warning: consensual spanking

Rating: PG-13/soft R (no graphic sex)

Genre: romance, humour, casefic

Summary: Sherlock tries to matchmake for his friends, Lestrade tries to stop him, and everyone else tries to keep up with the consequences. A modern fusion with Jane Austen's Emma. (The fic can totally be read on its own, but some details will probably sound funnier if you have the original 'verse in mind.)

Title: Recreational

Pairing: Sherlock/Lestrade

Rating: up to NC-17 in some chapters

Summary: Lestrade has a secret hobby that no one knows about: he writes gay detective noir stories with himself as the hero. As the years go by, and his private life dwindles to nil, this hobby becomes more and more obsessive, sheltering him from any real commitment.

Until Sherlock Holmes crashes his professional and personal space, and the line between fact and fiction grows dangerously thin…

Chapter summary: Sherlock makes his usual late-but-dashing entrance.

Warning: none for these chapters

Some months ago, when Notluvlulongtime instituted Silver Fox Saturday on Tumblr, I posted a series of recs for Sherstrade fics and ficlets among my favourites. But Tumblrs come and Tumblrs go, and several people have asked since if I could make a Masterpost for them. So I did.

Most of the works I've recced date back to 2012 or before. So I'm seeing this either as a starting point for someone new to the ship, who'd like a survey of that terra incognita, or as a nostalgic trip for those of us who saw the black-and-silver ship launch off on LiveJournal.

I've tried to sort them out by themes and genres, though of course there are authors who like to blur frontiers. Most of the stuff is slash; some works, however, are gen and focus on Lestrade and Sherlock as friends or surrogate father and son. I've indicated all WIPs,nc-17 fics and NSFW art.

I hope this may be of use!

Title: Who Framed Roger Ribbet?
Pairing and characters: Sherlock/Lestrade, Miranda (their five year old daughter)
Warning: none
Rating: PG
Word count: about 2,5k
Summary:  "She wants a what?"

"A corpse," Sherlock repeats through gritted teeth. "A cadaver, a goner, a gentleman of the deceased persuasion, post-mortem incarnate (or should I say vitally challenged), a big sleeper, a D. B., a stiff. Your daily bread, Greg Lestrade, earned with the sweat of my brow. Can I make myself any clearer? Apparently, Miranda has told everyone at St Vincent’s Hall that Daddy and Papa are taking her out to a crime scene for Halloween."

A/N: part of the Miranda 'verse, but can be read on its own. All you have to know is that Greg and Sherlock got together at the start of the Hiatus, after Lestrade took one good look at Sherlock's "corpse" and gave him a mighty clip on the ear.

All my thanks to grassle for being, as ever, a careful and brilliant beta.

Pairing and characters: Sherlock/Lestrade, Mrs Hudson, John, Mary Morstan, OFC (Sherlock and Greg's young daughter, Miranda)
Rating: PG
Summary: Mrs Hudson knows exactly which story to tell Miranda at bedtime. Fusion-ish with Kenneth Grahame's Wind in the Willows.
A/N: Part of my Rose verse, but can totally be read on its own.
